HISTORY

Sabine Ship Services was established in 1978 by Myrtis Bourne Morris to provide crew boat services to vessels and oil companies on the Sabine Neches Waterway.  In 1983, Myrtis' son, Alston E. "Buddy" Bourne, Jr. purchased the company and expanded SSS services to include line handling, barge fleeting, barge cleaning, barge/vessel repairs, and shifting/towing of barges in the Sabine Neches Waterway.  In 2010, Buddy's son, Alston E. "Tres" Bourne, III  purchased the company further expanding the company in areas of crew boat services, line handling, and miscellaneous ship services.  Sabine Ship Services, Inc. is commited to providing a safe, quality service to its customers.
